Men of Chale Book

By the author of ‘Put Out The Flag’.  Based on truth, its the story of Isle of Wight Carriers.  This book illustrates how one family and those who touched their lives in the small village of Chale, IOW from 1830s until 1980s were affected by local, national and political events over which they had no control and how they helped develop their village community.  Using letters, records and diaries kept for over 150 years, the words are mainly theirs and a great read it makes.
